It is change in temperature that will cause trouble. If you bring it in cold put it in a closed case and let it acclimate slowly

It all depends on the fingers, when they go numb, so does the playing.

I have taped hand warmer packs around my wrists before to keep the fingers working down to 45 degrees a few times. On an electric solid body, shouldn't affect anything, but probably wouldn't play acoustic down lower than 65 degrees for the sake of the guitar.

Despite last summer's fires , this has been the coldest winter, struggling to hit 14 C (57.2 F) . That's too cold for Aussies. I reckon we're in for a hot summer- it's warmed up really quickly this spring ( 30 C ) here the other day.

    Yep.

Even though the U.S. has a literacy rate of 99 percent, and is number 28 of 214 nations included in a recent UNESCO study, 43 million American adults are considered to have low literacy levels. For the study, "Literacy" refers to the percentage of people age 15 or older who can read and write.

This 99% number is a recent improvement. For many (many) years, Cuba had a higher literacy rate than the U.S.

It's not really temperature but duration to me. We get cold days up at 7,000' in the winter, but it's warm in the sun which we get a lot of. Occasionally it'll be below freezing all day, but we have pretty big swings throughout the year, usually around 20-30 degrees in a single day, see below.

For a year or so, we considered Milwaukee and while I love winter in the upper midwest, the length of that season (essentially mid-November to March) and the absence of differentials/swings = no thanks.

I’d say below 60 I wouldn’t bother playing guitar on the patio. For a paying gig, sure, I’d play in colder.

In my youth as a spunky teen we’d play in the uninsulated garage in the middle of Wisconsin winter, wouldn’t do that anymore.

I've been in Saskatchewan in -40 weather, but it was sunny and calm and that was fine -- of course, I was dressed for it.

    For me:

    Too cold to ski: -20C
    Too cold for shorts: 0C
Too cold to swim in the lake - depends on the water. Snow melts in the early summer means the lake turns my skin blue in no time.

Now too hot! I get dehydrated easily and go loopy at 30C. My wife will point this out and I have to drink water and cool off.

Hi Cali, Mount Kearsarge is off route 89 North in Western New Hampshire whereas North Conway is almost Maine &
Canada. It is right on Mount Washington which at one time
had the highest recorded wind speed on Earth/232 MPH.
