What’s the pedal you have used the longest? Why?

Haha, the pedals on my bike are what I use most these days. But these two carried me through the 90s:

I don't use much pedals now, if I do I mostly rely on this little TS-Clone. I have it 5 years now without any problem. I had a reissue TS808 for a short time but that didn't always work on batteries so I use the cheap, trusty copy. When I play out it gets perhaps 5 % playtime so it is good enough although the Ibanez reissue sounds a tad better.

I do not blame you, except for not using it.

Boss SD-1, made in Japan. I bought it new. I put it aside for several years but brought back onto the board a few years ago and wondered why I ever stopped using it.

Big box Rat from 99, but has left the board a few times. But the is always there since 2000 is my Boss RV-3. The newest staple for the last 5years is the Barber LTD.

The Analogman Beano. I can’t believe that no one mentioned it earlier.

My Micro Vibe, which I got new when Voodoo Lab first released it in the late ‘90’s. Why? Because I like swirly Uni-Vibe type sounds, especially mixed with a little dirt (provided by the v2 KOT it’s next to). It’s been a mainstay in my pedal line up, with a brief exception when it wasn’t sounding too good and substituted a Custom Shop MXR Script Phase 90. Turned out something was wrong with the Micro Vibe and the fine folks at Voodoo Lab fixed it for free!

Incidentally, the KOT is in 2nd place for longest used. It has also been a mainstay since getting it new in 2004 (when the wait was only 3 months!).

The only delay I ever had is the Boss DD-20, about 10 years or so. I can't see getting another, because it does more than I'll ever need, and I still have a lot to learn.

First would be the first pedal I ever got, in 1980 with a BF bandmaster head and 2x12 with brown Jensens: a first year yellow case OD250, though I lost that one eventually after modding it with a tone control, and found another vintage one I like better than a gray spec clone.

Second would be the old Phase 90, which I've had numerous script and block versions of, plus a CS Script RI and a Whirlwind Orange box I now prefer for the jack, TBP and LED.

Rats have invaded my spaces from way back but I always had to exterminate them.
Just not a fan of rats, though they make great gifts for those who can find a use for them!

Standard Pitchblack... three years? Five years? So long I don’t recall. Indoors, outdoors, dark stage, bright stage... I dig the Pitchblack. All others have found the EverRevolving Door.
