I know about the pairing of a Les Paul and a Marshall amp, but are Marshall amps known to go well with Strats or Teles too? What kind of amp would you recommend for someone that plays Strats and Teles in the bedroom or occasionally a coffee shop or bar/restaurant setting? Thanks.

I like the British sound. Some Orange amps have the ‘Headroom/Bedroom’ feature. My Rocker 15 Terror can go from 15-7-1-0.5 watts and is the perfect amp to go from home to stage.

Princeton Reverb or a Deluxe Reverb for smaller venues.

Sorry for the ambiguity, but the best amp for any of your guitars is the one that sounds best to you. We can only offer directions to the rabbit hole...

Usually, the best amp is whatever one you don't have.

I'm a hobbyist... play at home. A Les Paul Std., Strat Deluxe & have Tele and Strat Thin Skins on order from Dave's.

I've had a Blues Jr Tweed, never liked it... sold it.

I bought Princeton 65 RI 10 inch, I really love it for what I do.

I recently got 57 Custom Champ, I'm trying to figure it out. I running a Fender Tre Verb pedal with it now.

I suspect I'll try a Deluxe Reverb at some point...but something tells me I should have bought a 64 Custom Princeton Reverb and called it a day.

I like the 50's era tweeds, followed by the browns, followed by the black and silverface amps. There are other amps besides Fender designs?

Why such a controversial topic? Try something easy, like the best style pizza........

I've been very happy with my Tweed Deluxes.
Turned up to 3 with a reverb pedal, I get what I want. If using my Deluxe Reverb, I use the ZenDrive.

It all depends on what you like. Lots of people like a fender amp with a fender guitar. It’s a classic combo. I don’t really like fender amps. I like Marshalls for pretty much everything. I also have a Supro that I absolutely love. I’ve got a DV Mark SS amp that seems to sound good with everything. Try a bunch and see what you dig.

I've recently pulled the old super champ xd back out, getting some really good tones from it, using the onboard effects, little slapback delay w/medium gain on voice 3, I did add some compression from a 2 knob Keeley.

It depends on what you like, as JD said; and also how much you want to spend. You can get a good amp for $90 - 3000, and everywhere in between. It's an impossible question to answer, like asking what is the best food item.

No right answer to that one. One of those questions that makes life worth living! You'll get everything from a Fender Tweed Champ to Kemper Solid State profilers and everything in between.

I like blackface Fenders. One for every every size room: Champ, Princeton, Deluxe or Twin. Then again, I tried a Goodsell Super 17 with EL84 tubes and it was from heaven. Oh well, you get the idea.

    Good luck.:)

How about one of the Tone Masters? I haven't played one, but am really intrigued by them. They sound like they might meet your needs pretty well.
I do have a Supro Blues King 10 and a Fender Bass Breaker 007 that sound great whatever I play through them.
