Yes, that's kinda similar to my issue, but it's my left wrist. Surgery a few years ago for bone-on-bone required removal of three bones to fix and I did not regain more than about 35-40% range of motion, so it's hard for me to finger the fretboard reliably. The scary thing is I may need to eventually get the right one done. It hurts more than the left ever did, but I've been, um...avoiding it. At any rate, Scott's build is amazing and I have no doubts it sounds great!

Mixed some different colours to see what I will use to tint the lacquer for the transparent coat.

The real colour, is slightly more green than the photo.

Came up with these.

I’m liking the middle.

Really brought out the grain in the roasted birdseye maple.

Looks good, Scott. As you know by now I really like Zpoxy just for its grain enhancement, even on wood that doesn't need pore filling.

Mixed up some more colour for the nitro lacquer. What I had previously, wasn’t enough to tint properly.

Strained through t-shirt about 3 times & coffee filter.

I ended up with 6oz of tinted lacquer.

Hopefully that should be enough for body & headstock.

Might try & spray today. Have to warm the shop, since we woke up to -30C/-22F.

Looking good! I love the stainless fret markers. Have you noticed any problems with the fretboard shrinking back and leaving sharp edges at the markers?

No.

And at the moment, running wood heat in the house, & low humidity in the winter, the wood should never shrink any more.
Less than 40% humidity in the house, with the body & neck hanging a few feet from the wood stove.

Don't let the RH get too low, Scott. 40-45 is my target, when it drops to 30 I worry. Everything stays in cases with humidifiers anyway. I get to fix a lot of dry guitars each winter and it is totally preventable.
