That's good to know. Now I just have to wait until I need printer ink......
I love the Hwy ones - and wow, you got a killer deal, I wouldn't have hesitated for that price. Thats alot of Telecaster for under 500. I've never had a problem with its large frets as I used to play strats with jumbos by preference. The frests on the 52 RI which was my second tele, were just to small for me. Makes sense why I like the Hwy One's, Road worns and the Am specials so much. Loved the hot pickups too and they make for great Rock and Blues playing. My fav frets so far is whatever comes stock with the Squire CV50 which is also a hotter wind. I replaced the Bridge with an overwound fralin though not sure it was a great improvment.
beautiful guitar, was it used? I can't believe Best Buy of all places would turn into a guitar center, but i have a harder time believing you could find anything other than a standard for under 500 bucks!
Congrats on the new Highway 1! Can you fill us in on how that conversation with your wife went when you came in the house with ink in one hand and a tele in the other?
Hope she likes the color too!
No BB with any guitars around me in central Illinois
lol this reminds of my buddy who walked into a best buy in south dakota and walked out with an epiphone swingster (i think thats what it was, the fickle idiot sold it for only a twenty dollar loss before he got a chance to bring it back to ohio so i could check it out)
I wanna know what printer uses a Highway ! for ink? I can't figure that one out...
My understanding is that Best Buy puts the 'music store' in locations that are near Guitar Centers. At least, that was the way it started out. The idea was to tap into the GC crowd. If I remember right, there wasn't a huge budget for promotion, so you may have one and not be aware of it.
My local Best Buy sure doesn't carry anything like this. I can get a Dyson fan or a refrigerator, but no guitars. Sucks living in the middle of nowhere.
Not so in my case. No GC to be found here, but BB added the musical instrument section about two years ago.
I had the same model, sorry i sold it to my bud. Very nice catch!
I asked the guy why it was going for $510 and said he didn't know, adding maybe it was an older model. Serial number indicates it was made in 2008.
Then he took another 10% off because it was a display model.
My son just bought a Gibson Hummingbird at the Springfield, MO BB for exactly $500 less than ANYBODY else has them! I have found that they sometimes have rediculously good deals in their musical instrument section! And, BTW, they are in the same shopping complex as the GC there!
Yeah...that's all well and good.....but did you bring the ink home?????
Dang, and here I am going to "Philip McCartridge" for ink.
I went for printer ink today too...and came home with.
