I’ve been a lifetime Lego fan (even have a Lego tattoo from way back in the day lol). I was just telling my wife I wanna get a Lego set. I miss it. But I hate how it’s all gotten so expensive.

We run a errand at target as typical for Monday (as we are both off together) we happen by the Lego isle. And I wanna go see what they may have. (Looking for a cheaper set just to build.)

Needless to say. We found a set. I instantly stopped and looked at her. She may have rolled her eyes. But said “go ahead and get it. I know you’ve been seeing it online.”

Not saying my wife’s better than yours. But she definitely gets all the bragging rights today.

I find the tone on that rig a bit plastic. My grandson and Son in Law had fun building that set. Carry on having fun I say!

actually my kid bought her car from a lady who got hired by lego as a designer and had to move to sweden ( or where ever they are made, No it is not a lego car) LOL

Well a few hours, couple beers, binge watching Criminal Minds, wife taking a nap. It’s complete. I have to admit. Not quite sure why some of the odd colors in the guitar itself. But once it’s all sealed up it’s good. But over all. A lot of detail. Especially with the amp.

You said LEGO got expensive so I had to look it up. Wow. No kidding. I remember the max some elaborate castle or space set would be was something like 80 bucks when I was a kid in the 90s. I’m seeing stuff at like several hundred dollars for the same piece count.

Yea this kit was $99.95. I was surprised when my wife said get it lol. First set I’ve gotten in years. But I think I want to do more display quality stuff now.

Yea I started with dad when I was a kid. I wish I had kept them all. But live and learn lol.

I had several Lego sets my wife and I bought and built together in the 90’s. Had them on display and kept the boxes and instructions to every set. When we moved I carefully packed them up. The movers stole them When the Lego Strat came out I ordered it. I just have to make sure we never move again.

Legos are a cool thing.
There was a tv show on a year or so ago around a Lego competition. A bit cheesy at times but I thought some of the builds were incredible

I liked Legos until they started pushing kits for building particular things. When it was up to us to decide what we wanted to build, it was fun. It's hard to get excited about color-by-number.

It is nice of them to give a salute to Strats, though!
