Obviously that's blue.
Looks green to me!
What seafoam green might look like:
You guys are funny
Look at my new antigua strat!
hey dave how many guitars do you have? Are all those guitars yours or are the on lone?
Ill bet you have something cool planned for this new build. What pickups will you use? White pickgaurd or parchment? If it was mine I would go with a maple neck.
Oh I got a few. I don't have loaners - I own all the guitars I make videos of. I buy a lot, I sell a lot. I enjoy it, and I get to better understand what brands, models and specs work for me.
For this build, I am waiting to receive the body before I decide what to do. Still not sure at this stage, but I am thinking Esquire look w/ a hidden pickup under a mint pickguard, and a big fat maple neck.
I wonder if they have a reliced neck for this baby, too?
I dig salmon
There is a type of red/green colorblindness, where certain shades of red/green look the same in certain light, to some people. I know, since I have it. But, that body sure looks salmon-y to me, too. I remember looking at a nice green VW-Bug, back in the 70s and went back the next day to buy it. But, there weren't any green bugs on the lot the next day. So, I ended-up with a nice red '71 Super Beetle. Nice color body, though, no matter what.
until I have the body in my hands, I guess I won't know
The body arrived. Looks good! Some pics:
I found a whole set of T-style, aged hardware, including a set of SD Antiquity pickups. I had forgotten I owned that stuff - came from a seafoam green relic T build I did a long time ago. Anyway, I'll be using that stuff. Can't wait to start!
I'm color blind. To me it looks peach but green can look peach if you are colorblind.
Finally started the build today. I have the pickups in, and I need to drill the body for the screws (PG, control plate, bridge.) Installed teh jack cup, and mounted a neck to it - a Fender MIM i had kicking around) just to see what she will look like. I'd like to slap a big fat neck on her though, but for now that is what I have at my disposal... fun
I give you the MojoTwanger Shell Pink T-style relic... phew, that's quite the mouthful!
So still to do...
1. Lower them bridge saddles so that the action is reasonable.
2. Open up the control plate and figure out what moronic thing I did this time and fix it.
3. Find a big fat neck so that I can take this Fender one off.
4. Find more corroded screws siince I have more holes than screws right now and had to use - gasp, the horror - some non oxyded ones to finish the build.
4. Plug her in and play some more!
I hate to say it, but by a "telewhacker".
I am color blind also. I cannot distinguish dark blue from black. Doctors say there is no such case, but believe me each time I take new socks (once in a month approximately hehe) I have to show them to somebody else to tell me if they are blue or black.
I have been wearing one "blue" jacket for couple of years, until someone told me it was black
Oh I miss my blue Tele
