After going round & round for the past few years between thinking I needed a Strat but always wanting a Tele I finally found something that I couldn't say no to. It's a MIM Deluxe Tele Thinline - sorta. It's a 2019 and it's pretty much brand new but it's got some mods. When I compare it to the Fender site I notice that the tuners are CLASSICGEAR TUNING MACHINES instead of locking tuners. Obviously he changed out the pickguard - an improvement IMO. Under the hood, there are CTS pots, a "mustard" cap with Sozo written on it [see pic], a 3-way selector switch instead of the 4-way and what he described as Fender Original Vintage Tele Pickups. All in all I'd say that the choices that were made turned out just fine. The tuners threw me for a loop though as I'd never seen this CLASSICGEAR version before. Anyway, here are some pics: It sounds & plays as good as it looks and, considering the price I couldn't be happier. Cheers!
