    Thanks...

And, this thread is in the "off topic" area of the forum.

The weight loss makes my Telecaster sound better, look better on me, and easier to play... How'es that?

My own health issues have led me down similar paths the last 5 years or so. i had a heart attack and subsequently quadruple bypass surgery. I also got the official diagnosis of diabetes the same night as the heart attack. So I made a some changes. I gave up all cokes (or sodas or pops, for all you non-Texans) altogether. Actually, my "coke" of choice was Dr Pepper. I quit having the Whataburger #2 meal (double meat with double cheese, large fries and multiple refills on Dr Pepper) 2-3 times a week. My wife and I Still like to eat at the Whataburger near her work, so I meet her for lunch there 2-3 times a week, but now I get the garden salad with the grilled chicken.

Speaking of which, she just texted that she's ready for lunch, so, later...

Have you thought of suing Whataburger?

Take some 81 mg Aspirin with you, just in case.

While I eat a vegan diet 99.9% of the time, I reserve the right to eat a steak or a burger...

What a burger is a regional thing. everybody in TX tells everybody it's fabulous, and while I lived there I told everybody that too, but strangely, once I crossed the Mason Dixon line I nolonger felt that way.

I have been looking into fasting and have listened to a lot of stuff from Dr Jason Fung. I do an 16/8 several days a week and an occasional 24 fast or OMA (one meal a day) and have been considering going on a longer fast as well.

Although I shouldn't be, I am a bit surprised at all the incorrect assumptions many people here have regarding fasting. Fasting is something that has been done for centuries. Those that think this is bad for you might want to do a little current research before offering incorrect opinions here.

I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for 15 months. 16/8 and 18/6 all week. I also omitted refined sugars and processed foods (sweets, chips, instant-meals). I limit my alcohol intake to once a month (big IPA fan!).

I drink 64-80oz of water daily. People think I’m nuts but I feel great! :p

Disclaimer: I’m not doing it to lose weight but just to maintain a normal healthy BMI. I’m also genetically predisposed for high blood pressure and diabetes.

Fasting is a good thing. Good luck with it. There are other lifestyle changes that recommend it too. And it does help make a telecaster look better on you.

I commend you on your will power. I seem to have a short attention span, next thing I know there's something in my mouth.
