Well, I'm about to get into my car and retrieve the guitar I ordered.

Sweet Streamliner! I have three, but wasn't patient enough to track down a blue one--love the blue. I really like them. I'm waffling on whether to leave well enough alone, upgrade to chrome Gretsch pointer knobs and switch tips, or go the dice route . When I decided they were keepers, I went ahead and ordered Gretsch cases for them (not sure where I think I'm going with them...LOL). Enjoy!

I still have to replace that wimpy 009 set of strings with something which has more magnitude, so that set of 011-056 will sit right at home.

    It’s a g2420t.

I just received mine 10 days ago, same color. Congrats, it is a great guitar for the $$$ !

The BT2S Broad tron pickups are quite nice.

I just changed the knobs and switch tip for chrome ones.

And here's the kind of music I'm gonna use it for. I recorded this song with a tele but this Gretsch will do fine too.

Well, I spend about an hour getting to know this new girl. She's a lot of fun. Because of her construction having more in common with an ES 175, I was kinda worried that she wasn't going to sound like a Gretsch. But I shouldn't have worried, she sounds like a Gretsch alright.

But Rockabilly isn't the only thing she can do. Just for kicks I switched on the overdrive channel of my amp and yes, that DOES result in feedback, I can do those Neil Young howls with her Bigsby.
