Not sure what it is with Florida but they often have the wildest news headlines. I could see one that read….. Naked man on bath salts fights gator wearing a Jedi helmet and light saber. Then I’d think…. Surprised it took this long.

I've got good friends who (still) live in the "Sunshine State". I have to be very careful of any mention of Florida Man or Woman. These days my friends are pretty darn testy, understandably.

I used to skip school and occasionally drive to Webb City, the "worlds largest and most unusual drugstore" with anyone who'd join me. We'd go to the top floor and there they had arcade games, for a quarter you could see live chickens "dance" on a mildly charged electric plate.

That's Florida to me.

We don’t worry ‘bout it too much.
The gas company been done shut it off cause we quit paying when Cletus quit his job for deer season last October.
Soon as he sells his rifle back to the pawn shop we’ll get it cut back on.

I can most certainly recall similar stories from my youth. And I bet there's a few folks around here older than me who can say the same.

Well I might have also made gas filled beer bottles when I was a youth...
