Throughout Covid I’ve been working remotely and have had a lot of time to sleep at my chosen schedule. It’s been a bit strange, truthfully, and I’ve had some of the most vivid and truly bizarre dreams during the last 1+ years. Some are too inappropriate to post here. One that alarmed me but isn’t inappropriate for the forum occurred last night.

In this dream, I acquired a Mesa Mark V combo amp. I was looking at the 5-band EQ and wondering why I had made this purchase and where my other amps had gone.

It felt so real that when I woke up I had to check the living room to make sure my other heads and cabinet were still there and I didn’t have a Mesa combo amp anywhere. I was still sweating when I went back to bed. It took me about thirty minutes to calm down and fall back asleep. I kept worrying that the dream would come back.

Thanks for reading this and being there for me.

The other night I dreamed all my wife’s little frog figurines were gone from the windowsill.
The next morning I heard a noise by the window, hunted around and it was a newly fallen frog.
    Go buy a MKV Boogie!

Then, I woke up to find that I had been working in a hospital setting (not remote) daily for the last year plus......

    Yes.

Install riot shutters on your house, and acquire proper zombie slaying apparatus (a chainsaw for a hand and a shotgun) . Good thing werewolves aren't giving you terrifying dreams; I'm sure they cost alot to feed AND finding "inherited" silver can be a nuisance.

I just posted in a different thread. Both me and my partner had very vivid dreams after a recent vaccination. She and I had vaccinations from different manufacturers. In my case the vivid dreams lasted several weeks before slowly fading back to normal. I didn't have nightmares, just very vivid dreams that I remembered clearly after I woke up.

    I know. That’s the thing.

The one time I tried them out in a guitar store I couldn’t get sound to come out and the employee had to come over and make it make noise for me. He thought I was some sort of dope but there were just so many switches and knobs and levers. It reminded me of that one time I tried to land a 747 with no flight experience and I barely survived.

Yup. And that whole “we’ve picked the perfect speaker for you” thing just freaks me out.

I streamed the movie “Blood Vessel” a few weeks ago and that night had a dream that a certain body part looked like the vampires/monsters in that movie and the cat that my wife had back when we were first dating was somehow communicating with “it.” I walked around for a couple of hours after waking up afraid to talk to anyone because of what my brain had just done to me while I was asleep. It might take me a few therapy sessions to unravel that one.

back to the amp, I’m more freaked out by that dream.

I don’t think any of my zombie equipment will help me on this one, unfortunately. This horror is more real.

Irrational fear... a mark 5 boogie is very simple..

It is just gain, treble, middle and bass, volume and presence. Same as my JMP and countless Fenders.

It just has 3 sets of them. The EQ is icing.

Face the fear. You already have the skills.

Had a customer bring me a Mesa with effects loop issues. Volume on send, volume on return, overall loop master volume, and a 5-way switch that configures how the loop behaves with the amp, in addition to the footswitch. I can't.

I have had some strange dreams. After the last one I woke up naked in the gutter, with a record setting hangover, and a rather unusual looking woman who kept calling me her husband.
