Admin Post I was about ready to leave the office on Thursday afternoon when my wife called in a panic. Our 3 month old niece was being rushed to the ER after having been found by her father, in her crib with no pulse and not breathing. She had only been alone for 6 minutes. Efforts to revive her brought back a pulse, but she required breathing assistance. On Saturday, after two days of zero brain activity, and at the recommendation of the attending physician, life supporting efforts were removed and she passed away peacefully within 60 seconds. Initial reports point to "SIDS" which is just a big blanket term that doesn't help a whole lot right now. Doc says she had very small evidence of rhinovirus and enterovirus, each of which may be responsible for setting a small chain of events into action which led to this. Nevertheless, I have been asked (once again) to play guitar at the funeral tomorrow. This is a tough, tough, tough time for my family. I'm not sure how I'll be able to keep it together on guitar, but I'll manage I guess.
