always up-vote the Excitable Boy, always - thanks
Splendid Isolation ....
I just came here to howl.
Saw him several times. Waddy Wachtel's solo on "Johnny Strikes Up the Band" on Excitable Boy is one of the all time note-perfect, succinct guitar solos.
One of the greats!
Great show...RIP Warren.
Turn them speakers up full blast,
Play it all night long
Love Warren... “Stand in the Fire” is my all time favorite live album...
accidentally like a martyr.
I haven't heard mariachi static on my radio yet...but I'm still listening.
Saw him open for the Grateful Dead back in the late 80's - early 90's, at the old Legend City Amusement Park's outdoor amphitheater. Just a wonderful performer.
Warren Zevon was definitely a great, and sorely missed, songwriter

In college me and a bud drove from central Texas to LA and back in a 240Z on a 4 day weekend to bring back a a Dodge Ram.
His sister arranged for us to catch him at the Whiskey that night and we headed back just afterward.
I'd bought one of his cassettes at the show and listened to it for the next many hours driving.
Got back in time for Monday morning finals.
Sorry, but Warren still brings that nightmare back to me before I can even listen to the music.
I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.
The days slide by
Should have done, should have done, we all sigh
Never thought I'd ever be so lonely
After such a long, long time
Time out of mind
We made mad love
And abandoned love
Accidentally like a martyr
The hurt gets worse and the heart gets harder
A Corona tribute. A couple of my friends and at least one 'famous' person......
