They might have continued the departure and made it both a thinline and neck thru ala Merle Haggard's tele for that coin ...

    Can I get a 'yada'

Holy hell guys.... You don't like it? fine. You don't have the money to "throw away" in a fancy good looking tele? fine.

Hell, I would love a bentley pickup! Yea ...I'm going to get it and I will park it in front of your house and wake you all at 4am in the morning with some awesome herringbone tele sounds! ;)

    Take care.

Don't let 'em get you down, man.

I like it alot too. Especially the fretboard markers. Nothing more classic than Martin Herringbone. You can come play it at my house at 4am - I'd love to see and hear that guitar in action!

Aw now I like that. I might have opted for straight grain Indian Rosewood for the back, just to look as much like a good ole D28 as possible. And, they could have used a similar font for "C L Fender Co. EST 1949". Heck, the two companies should team up on something. They really aren't in competition.

That's a great build. And you fixed the one thing I didn't like - the fret markers.
    Dots for me, please.
