I seem to remember an interview with Chan Kinchla of Blues Traveler where he talked about having a custom strat or tele built that was oversized to fit his frame.

If your interested in building guitars, and if you have enough money for a custom shop, build a large size strat or tele and put custom shop parts in it. Or learn bass

Better idea, it's the custom shop. They can and will do anything you tell them to. They made a 9 neck guitar once, it think they can make a strat with bigger proportions. Just try it and see how it goes maybe

I’ve been hunting that guitar since I learned about it. They are NOT EASY to find!!!!

Great job finding one!
I bought it 10 years ago - even then it was hard to come by - now they are 3 times as much even when you can find one.

I'm 6' 5" and I played ES330's and ES335's for most of 20 years. I eventually got over it and switched to smaller lighter guitars.

Ray Benson is 6' 7" and he had Eastwood (I believe), make him an oversized Tele.

(Ok, I see I’m not the only one who thought of this)

Reverend makes a couple T-styles as signature model for Greg Koch. Body size is slightly larger than standard T.

Greg Koch is also subject to “height shaming”, as he puts it, and says some people ask him if he’s playing a ukulele or what?

One version comes with P-90’s, and a slightly chambered body.

I am flipping huge, 400 lbs. at fightin' weight, nearly 9 feet tall. I better stop now with the physical descriptions or I'll have the mods on me....

Anyway, I don't mind the size of guitars, I play little dinky ones same as pencilneck geeks do. What I wish is they'd make countertops about 4 inches higher so I could help the little woman with the dishes.

I am also a "gentleman of stature" and my number 1 is a Casino that fits me great. I also have a Gretsch 5420 and a D'Angelico Premier EXL-1.

Yah, I do all the cooking in our house, and I keep thinking about how Julia Child (who was the same height as me, 6'2") had custom-made higher-than-usual countertops. I'd settle for a big thick cutting board the same size as my main prep area.

I don't have a problem with normal-size guitars, though. I feel like I'm big enough to dominate the thing if I need to. Malcolm Young probably had to rely on threats and harsh language.

Us big dudes have several issues in life with everything made for medium sized people. If your hands will fit a guitar without extra wide fingerboards, and you can play a short (Gibson) scale instrument, be happy your problem is only the visual aspect. It could be worse.
25.5" on all my guitars, the Epi included.
I had a Les Paul Custon in '76, and reied to bond with it but limited upper fret access and floppy string tension made it impossible. Sold and moved on. Shame, as I really wanted a LP junior TV. Guess I'll have to build one in a longer scale.
I probably should switch to baritone with a wide board. But I like my Strat n Tele, and am too old to relearn all those tunes transposed.

I have a couple semi hollow guitars and one hollow body. I’m not a big man. IDGAF.

Check out a Gretsch 6122 ‘62 Chet Atkins Country Gent. That’s the thin line double cut with painted f holes. Mine twangs like a good tele (Fender scale too!) and can cop jazzy and 335 tone too. No feedback w the closed top. ProLine only.
