Becker apparently owned more gear than everyone I know put together.

There's about 10 times the amount of gear than Gilmour's auction. What a collection.

Quite amazing. He coined the term GAS I believe. LOL, the father, the patron saint of GAS.

Rest peacefully Walter, your gear will be enjoyed by many

I feel so much better about my humble collection. :) Wow.....my wife would have be living in the shed with the lawnmowers if I had all that gear. However, I am not Walter Becker!

Begs the question "Where the hell did he keep it all?" Oh well, at least I achieved a minor brush with celebrity knowing old Walter and I owned the same model Silvertone amp. (Big regrets selling that one!)

He probably asked Rick Neilsen for mass gear storage tips.

I looked at that--it just goes on and on. Crazy. He wasn't all that discriminating either; just bought lots of stuff. I mean it's often expensive stuff, but it seems kind of rando to me.

I thought about bidding on something, but it takes too long to go through it all.

Also the quality you'd be paying extra for is "this was once in Walter Becker's hands for an unspecified length of time then stored with 1000 other things."

Nice! now the Guitars & Amps will belong to someone else.
My guitars are only mine for a short time, then they will belong to someone else when I pass on.

I'm bidding on the Evinrude outboard motor and a matching set of oars, and I've got my eye on the color tv/ice maker combo. Don't go up against me on bidding, I've secured 3rd party funding..

not if you put in your will, that they are to be put in a pile, covered with gasoline and set atorch, as I have done in my estate planning.

plan to have Arthur Brown's Fire played for entire duration of the blaze.

He must have kept a fleet of amp techs and customer guitar builders in business.
