This last episode reminded me of something from "Dukes of Hazard."
In Classical period symphonies, string quartets, and sonatas, composers often wrote in 4 movements. The third movement was sometimes known as a scherzo, a light-hearted respite from the storms and drama of the outer movements. This episode definitely gave me that vibe.
So the attack was semi-successful. Seems the bad guys/girls got hostages. I find it hard to believe that the two tough nuts Maggie and Carol got captured.
Carol and Maggie were arguing and dropped their guard.
The strange thing is it seems those people kinda sat back and let Rick's gang clear out their friends in the compound, while holding Carol and Maggie.
Not real sure of the timing of things.
I got curious about the whole Negan deal so I looked up on a few websites what he's all about. Turns out he's the baddest character ever introduced. He carries a bat with barbed wire that he uses to beat people. And if the series is going to stay close to the comic they're going to push the envelope as far as it will go as far as profanity, sex and violence relating to Negan. The end of this season will just see the introduction of Negan. That's why I think things have been kind of nicey nice recently before Negan shows up.
It's always burned me that AMC butchers all their movies by editing for content but when it comes to the $$$ Walking Dead anything goes.
The Same Boat.......terrific acting by Melissa McBride (Carol)
If she meets her demise the show will have a big hole.....but, they've done it before.
I gave Carol too much credit. I thought she was faking the shivering puppy routine until the "Negans" dropped their guard. I don't know what her problem was. On the other hand... Maggie turned in Michonne. What a bad ass.
I enjoyed the episode, but when did Carol lose her nerve?
I think the writer's are just trying keep Carol in the "in-between" state of homemaker and bada**.
She has always had a hard time with decisions to do in folks, but just always did what had to be done.
I don't think she ever killed without feeling remorse.
She's going through the 'Rick and Morgan' struggle. Does she be Rick and kill all the baddies so they dont come back. Or does she be like Morgan and try to save people. Looks like she attempted the Morgan approach at the end, but had to pull a Rick. She's not happy about killing humans. At the end she says, "I should've killed him we wouldn't have to go through all this if I did"
Daryl gets his crossbow back.
I was thinking, "You all are talking way too loud, someone will hear you." .... THUNK.
Eugene leveled up. What a way to do it. LOL!
A great episode. I'm glad they changed it from the comic and Denise got the arrow instead of Abraham. I'm still wondering about the final episode, it's supposed to be brutal.
My wife thinks Maggie is the goner. The actress did a little commentary and her hair was much shorter. That would be a punch to the gut.
I agree, things seem to point that way. I'm also seeing rumors about a C section being performed.
Darryl Maggie or someone else? Who gets it on the walking dead season finale?
I'm betting on Darryl. That should also serve to rekindle Carol's fire.
Well Maggie cut her hair on the show so that kills that theory.
She could have cut her hair because she's doing the movie and they just added it into the script
I'm looking forward to the finale. They have some great cast members and some that I don't really care for. But the fact be told, they have some really badass villains. I'm thinking Negan will be on par with the governor. And that guy Dwight? He needs killing badly. Can't wait for the next season.
