I just bought about 6 pair of the "George" brand jeans for a little over $11.00 each. You have to try them on first cause the quality control as far as size is shakey but if they fit they're pretty nice.

    Pretty good bargain.

No, that's Kmart. Dustin Hoffman said so himself.

wait - is this gonna be a reprise of the $17.99 guitar fiasco?

Rustler 29's because nobody will make me 28's. Statistically insignificant.

Back in the bad ole days I used to buy them and they weren't terrible. The pockets were the weak link in those jeans. The material used for the pockets is like very thin. At the time I was working in fabrication and would carry lots of junk in my pockets on the jobsite. I had to have my wife sew scraps from old jeans to my pockets to reinforce them. Other than that they were okay.

I found it was better just to go to the thrift store and buy used jeans to work in. Shoot you can find a brand new pair of jeans for 1.50-3.00. Sometimes they have sales too :D

I have a pair and they are ok. Comfortable actually.

I also bought Wrangler jeans from Wally World,
    $17.99.

Last time I was in CA in 85 I remember getting good levis for 16 bucks at some department store...

they were maybe 80 bucks over here at the time... seen as more of a fashion item than a pair of cheap blue jeans...

so buying one at a time for levis was normal here... though, the latest ones are not a pinch on the old stud fly 501's...

I get the Levis on sale from the Levis online place and they end up about 40 bucks a pair.. nothing else fits me and makes me feel good like Levis 501's :) I get the Ralph Lauren Polo shirts on sale too about 30 to 40 each. love the way they fit.

I wore Kmart crap all my life bec thats what mom bought us. Ill never be caught again in cheap pants that the crotch rips out of or cheap shirts that the underarms tear out.

Its all personal. I gauge my success by how many good pair of socks underwear and Levis are in my drawer. :)

    Not only that--they're junk.

I'm a fan of Round House. Made in Oklahoma, extremely durable, and less than $30.

I haven't bought a pair of levis in Oz since the early 70's... mostly getting them on visits to the states or get a friend who travels there often to get me a pair...

though, that avenue will be closed if I need any...

I mostly live in shorts and tshirts these days anyway...

Do they still make Arizona jeans? I always found them to be well constructed and affordable.

The Wranglers there are a better value, just make sure you get the ones that are 100% cotton... BTW, I never try anything on there, they have a good return policy...

I buy my jeans at Wally's as well. Now that I am...uh...middle aged (okay >60), I buy the Wranglers with a touch of spandex. They are very comfortable and priced right ~$18. Like the George jeans, try them on...the last two pairs I grabbed by prior sizing were a bit big in the waist (but okay for in waist carry if you can stand it).
