VOX TB18C1, just too dark

    Bought this amp, love the size and power, love the 6V6's, but i just find this amp to be a bit too dark, tried it with 2 diffferent cabs, same thing.. Mid Boost and Dark switches stay off of couse..
    Stock speaker is a Celestion G12-65, which should help..

    What suggestions would you offer ??

    Wish you luck. Saw reviews that say speaker swap is only alternative. Prob brighten with C12n type or blue. With a almost enclosed cab and the Bruno mod it might be
    tough. I LIke his concepts though.

    Love the amp, someone suggested a EQ pedal in the effects loop, never done that before..

    Put a 150pf cap across the input and sweep of the volume pot.

    I recommend a speaker change - easiest and least invasive.

    Mojotone BV-30H should give you more treble than the G12-65
