Those of us that own one know....it's not about the volume, it's the TONE............

So, are these the same circuit as the 15R except less watts and no reverb or tremolo ?

I don't know about the circuit; the thing I know, being owner of both, is that they're very different from each other sound-wise...
To my ears, the 15 sounds like an amp, the 10 more like an hi-fi amplifier.

It's ideal for low volume, with just a little gain. i decided to get an overdrive pedal for it so the boost / jump was not so intense, which the 6.5" speaker does not handle very well...

It appears the Vox pathfinder 10 evolved from the Vox Escort....a very cool little amp

I had one of the Pathfinder 10s a couple weeks ago. It does not sound nearly as good as the Pathfinder 15 amps do. Sounds more like a transistor radio than a real amp.
I did not know they came in colors.

I have one and have also never been blown away from it. I did the LED mod but it just never did it for me on guitar so now my wife uses it to practice bass at low volumes.

I haven't heard the PF15 in years, but I've always assumed that based on the hype it must be much nicer.

I hear ya guys, the PF15 with it's bigger size and 8" speaker is very popular. but as a practice amp give me the PF10 anytime....I use the headphone jack often and when i want a little extra oomph, I plug in my extension cabinet and run the internal speaker and the cab speaker at the same time......

I would love a Pathfinder bass amp. My local pawnbrokers has one. I have to justify it to my girlfriend as to why I'm purchasing a 500 watt Hartke + TC Electronic rig and a 10watt vox amp at the same time.

Great Vox tone from the P10, I wish I hadn't sold mine. I now have a Mustang I, and the "British '60s" setting sounds very similar - but the P10 looked like a scale model AC-15, which is a bit part of it's charm.

These are one of my favorite practice amps. Frankly, it took me a while to figure how to get decent tone from it. It was fairly easy to miss; I almost dumped mine. Very glad now that I kept it, because when you've got it adjusted correctly it's a winner. Tremendous amp when in a small room.

I have one and use it all of the time for practice. I don't like the overdrive but I think it sounds great clean. I use it a lot for demos into a 4 track for songs I've wrote and on occasion, used it in the studio to mix in the clean sound in combination with another overdriven amp that was a bit too dark sounding.

Of course you would never use it as a main amp but it definitely has a purpose.

Looking at replacing the stock Vox Bulldog 6.5inch speaker in the PF10 for a Celestion Super 8, and running the same speaker in the new Cabinet...will keep you posted on the results
