I was all ready to buy a Vox DA5 after playing through a friends. Then I read about the DA10 and DA20 and deciced to wait to try these before buying. I'm waiting for them to hit my local stores that sell Vox. Three stores have my name and number, but I haven't heard from them yet. I also have GAS for a DA amp.

Have you seen these in stores yet?

I have the DA-5 and its great. I can get real nice clean tones...slight breakup and total distortion. The effects sound pretty good. Its much louder then I expected. Twice that of my Pignose. I love this little amp.

+1 on the DA5. I have no need of the DA10 or DA20, because the DA5 does everything I want a "mini" amp to do. If I want a "real" amp, I wouldn't buy any of the DA series... so the more/bigger speakers of the new DA series don't interest me in the least.

The AD series... now that's a whole 'nother ball-o-wax.

I may still end up with the DA5, but it sure wont hurt to give the DA10 and DA20 a try. If they sound better than the DA5, I'll buy one of the new ones. The size isn't that much bigger. As long as it can play on batteries, I'll be happy.

Vox, Roland and all the rest of them use the "Dangling Carrot" as a marketing ploy. Announcing the "Coming Soon" of new gear. The problem is the "Soon" part. By the time it's actually in stores, we're so jacked up, we can't stand it any longer and rush out to buy. Oh, and don't forget the "Pre-Orders" they all offer us. Be the first on your block!!!

According to Vox, the DA10 and DA20 were supposed to be available the first week of July. Fender did the exact same thing with the G-DEC 30.

Anyone has more details on the DA5?
Was just on Vox's website, pretty poor. No manual to download. Like a picture of the control panels to see whats actually on it would be nice since they dont really tell

...for bedroom practice, the da5 is all i need. a larger amp would be overkill.

what i love most is the clean settings, with the gain cranked, and a hint of reverb.

it IS digital, however, so your advised to not point the speaker directly at your ears.
