For me, this little headphone amp lives up to the hype.

I've played through vintage AC30s and have owned many AC 30/15/4s over the decades and the latest VOX Amplug 2 (2nd series), really delivers. For $45+/-, you can't go wrong.

I almost grabbed an amplug a few years ago... Nice to know that they are decent thanks!

I have the AC30 model and it sounds very good. You have to use good headphones with it, though.

I just use cellphone earbuds and it sounds so good that you can tell I'm using a Gretsch with Filtertron pickups.

It was either this or the iRig when I was buying one.. I bought the iRig because I like to use the Garageband, but I wish I bought this as I dont have to plug into my phone or iPad..

the only good thing with the iRig through my ipad and iphone is I can set the Garageband app to run in the background while listening to spotify or youtube, and play at the same time.. makes practicing a lot quieter and less complicated..

I have two... the AC-30 and the bass version. AC-30 is good, but a few small modifications would make it great. Mainly reverb and a jack reconfiguration for a strap mount. It is tough to use in some jack locations and is prone to damage/breakage.

Great tool for testing electronics when buying used guitars.
