I think I'm gonna do what I should have done a while ago and go back to being a Vox user. I have the opportunity to maybe trade my CVR for one, but it's an AC30CC1 with the neodog. On paper, I like saving the weight and am generally uncertain I "need" 2-12's instead of 1. I could get into it for sure.

Just wondering though, there were some positive reviews to be found on this forum about it but they are mostly getting on ten years old. Anyone still use or maybe even love this amp? Why or why not?

Just my opinion, but I would think that the CVR is worth a little more than the CC1. Both are very cool amps!

Yeah…hence my hemming and hawwing. I know I want an AC30, and I actually prefer the CC series over the new C2 and C2x's. If they were worth the same I'd have no qualms about it. Since they're not, I'm needing talked in (or out) of it.

I have an AC30CC2 and I love it! I have the C2 to compare it to. They are both great amps but the CC2 sounds better to me. I believe it has to do with the all tube rectifier.

I have an AC15CC1X and it has been a pure joy and trouble free. I'm sure I got lucky and there are plenty of broken down 'cc' series, but this thing has been rock solid and sounded great ever since I got it.

I've got a CC1 and it's a great sounding amp, no issues. Would I trade a CVR for one... no... but that's just me ;)

One thing about the CC1, as with all AC30's.... is the weight. It's a very heavy amp, even with a single neo speaker. The shape and size also makes it more difficult to transport than most Fenders... but I'm sure that's all part of the tone/charm as well. In the real world, I almost always grab my Fender before my VOX to do a gig.

When one door closes another opens! Maybe you could sell your CVR and get one of the new Vox AC heads with built in attenuation?

There is a local shop that has one, and are running a deal for the cab. Still puts it over $1000 though. I have to find a way to keep it reasonably neutral financially. . . no fun.
