I’m going to try to get down to one Tele, one Strat, one Les Paul, one D-28, and one bass (Hofner Beatle Bass). So, which of the 3 Teles should I keep?
First up is a 2010 1-piece body American vintage hot rod ‘52 in butterscotch blonde nitrocellulose finish. Seymour Duncan mini HB in the neck. DABCAEEE-B003-476D-A5CA-A9E1549F8905.jpeg
Next we have a 2001 American Designer Edition Silver Sparkle with stock Custom Shop Texas Special pickups and 4-way switch. Only 200 made for guitar center that year.

Last, we have a 2021 American Ultra in Texas tea with ultra noiseless pickups and S-1 button in the volume knob.

I love them all, and they are all in perfect condition and play and sound great to my ears.
    Which one would you keep?

All I can say is I’m glad I don’t have to choose :) All lovely guitars that I’m sure sound awesome.

In the very least, I would keep the hot rod + one of the other two. A Tele with a humbucker counts as a different guitar than a Tele with traditional pick-ups.

If you absolutely have to get rid of two, I'd keep the hot rod. I just prefer the AVs/AOs over the modern interpretations.

I would consider selling them all and picking up something 30+ years old. But I like vintage instruments.

But if I must choose, I would keep the Hot Rod.

I will be thinning my herd over the next couple years - likely only keeping the vintage specimens.

American Vintage Hot-Rod. Or, all three. You might need all three.

Cull it down to 2, the Hot Rod and one of the others (depending on your pickup preference).

If it were me, I’d keep the hot rod AND the ultra.

I like the American Vintage. Having that humbucker there makes it pretty versatile. It looks best of those three as well.

    Hi.

Of the three, I only like the AVHR52, so, that one.

However, my thoughts are, if you’re considering selling two of the three, but are undecided about which ones, it *may* indicate you are not truly bonding with or fully attached with any (or, at least, not fully satisfied or content with any, if you’re not the bonding with material objects type).

If so, I’m with @Boreas and would consider selling them all to pool the money for something you really really like.

That only works of course, if the money from sales is not intended for other purposes and remains ‘guitar disposable.’

You’ll be sad when the other two are gone and kick yourself somewhere down the road but if I had to choose I would keep Blondie but that’ just my personal preference

I would keep the silver sparkly one.

    But that's just me.
    It's unique, and sharp.

If you do end up selling it, let me know.
    I might be interested.
