If there was ever a reason to cross the continental divide, this is the one. Very dangerous though ... visiting the CME of course.:D

Please don't tell me you ate at those suggested eateries, and never touched a Beef Sandwich. It is the first thing to do above all in Cook county.

I bought a MIA JM from them a few years ago. Great service and friendly people. Until seeing this forum today I had no idea it was such an large and impressive operation. Now I would like to visit the store.

    Thanks for for sharing.

I was so overwhelmed by everything I never gave a thought to taking a picture of the Teles. Come August that will happen.

When I was in there just piddling around on a few guitars, I received possibly the best compliment ever. A gentleman happened to be standing near while I was playing and he told me that I was an accomplished player. Didn't know him and my playing is really pretty sad but it sure made me feel good.

I get that when I play older songs that not many people play in a guitar store. "10 Years Gone" and "Custard Pie" tend to get comments - not because I play them well - I do OK - but because it's not Stairway or Sweet Child or shredding.

If you live within three hours of the city, and have never gone to CME before, it’s definitely a MUST DO, and worth a day trip - even that last miserable hour it takes to drive the last 5 miles or so... ;)

Great looking store. The next time I visit your shores, I will be sure to visit Chicago.

We’re you there last Saturday? Lol, I could swear I heard custard pie being played. Definitely something from physical graffiti.
