So, last night I found myself in a fight with some a-hole. He took a swing at me and I kicked him in the balls. Didn't faze him, felt like he's wearing a cup, or something. I give him a karate kick to the chest and kick him in the balls again.......ouch!!! I wake to the pain and find myself sitting on the edge of my bed, kicking the **** out of my wife's hospital bed, which is right next to mine. I finally lay down and got back to sleep. This morning I have purple toes. The steel bed frame doesn't have a mark on it.

Most mornings, when I wake up, I find my covers all twisted up, on the floor next to my bed. I've been wondering what that's all about. I think maybe I'm a violent person......... about a third of my life.

PTSD encompasses a lot of experiences people go through, things that have been around for a long time. Violence has been around just a tiny bit longer.

You may have REM sleep behavior disorder. You should ask your healthcare provider about further work up.

I’m thinking you need one of the seashore recordings to play at night to soothe the savage beast :)

PTSD, anger (despair ?) toward your wife, issues at work......? That's gotta be tough. Hope you can figure out what's upsetting you, before you hurt her OR yourself. :(

Mild compared to some of my dreams. But I don’t act them out.

This is not medical advice, only personal experience. I had real problems sleeping, partly from pain and partly from other things. 1 dropper of 500mg/oz CBD oil under the tongue and I have normal sleep. I wake up refreshed, feeling like I've had a decent sleep. I have an old dog who's not well. In addition to her other untreatable medical problems, she's totally blind. There was a time when she'd fall out of bed and pace the floor for most of the night. With 6 drops of 100mg CBD oil in her dinner, she sleeps normally. The cost of the oil is about $50/month for me, much less for the dog. It's well worth it to sleep without disturbance. No side effects at all, just a good night's sleep. Way less costly and way safer than prescription sleep aids. I hope this helps.

are you sleeping in a cot next to your wife's bed in a hospital room? I have done that for many weeks, so I can understand. It's a strange way to live. I used to smuggle a few cans of beer into the room, it helped me relax. Just remember - having crazy dreams doesn't mean you are crazy. It's just a way to let some of the craziness escape. Best wishes to you, and your wife.

Normally we don’t. Larger muscles are paralyzed during REM sleep. Anyone who does act out dreams repetitively should get an evaluation with a sleep specialist.

interesting! this is indeed one of the claimed benefits of CBD. The results re: being a sleep aid seem to be all over the map. For some it works, for others it does the opposite. My wife tried it, and the results were neither good nor bad. I am very happy to hear that it works in your case. I really want this stuff to work! It has been very successful in pain relief for others I know who were suffering from terminal cancer.

Over here we buy it over-the-counter at any corner drug store. I never compared prices, but I doubt that we got to even half the amount that you are paying. It is dead common here.

My problem is that whenever I dream about having sex with a hot, young babe, I always wake up just when the sex is about to start. How can I force myself to stay asleep until it's over?

Right, so you dreamt you got in a fight? That's much better, because you don't get arrested and jailed for longer than it takes to wake up.
(Kicking guys in the nuts way not work in real life either, if they are drunk, on meth or PCP.)

Probably nothing to worry about, but I know four people that have gone to sleep experts and all benefitted from different issues and therapies. Might be an avenue if you are concerned.

    Yikes!
    I never dream about fighting.
I do stuff in my dreams I would never do in life, though.
    I haven’t had a physical altercation since about 1999.
I’m hoping not to ever have another.
I’m too old and worn for that stuff.
    Hopefully, too smart, too!

My violence only comes out once the elevator door closes.
