Anyone have information on the stock bridge pickup? It's not twangy enough for me and I'm thinking of popping in an American Vintage 62 bridge pickup in.

Go for it. I found the Vintera pretty vintage sounding but not terribly twangy. Lotsa spank which is what I like.

I don’t know what Fender’s putting in the Vintera Series, but my 50s Classic, which is basically the same guitar, had some not-so-good pickups as stock. I went with the Duncan Alnico Pro IIs and I like them a lot. The bridge pickup is a little more refined, and the neck pickup is one of the best I’ve had. But, there’s no shortage of good Tele pickups out there! Lots of choices.

I thought I had read it was around 7.1k, one review said Alnico 2 and another said Alnico 3.

Edit: apparently Sweetwater and Musicians Friend are taking preorders for what they call the Fender 50s Vintera set.

Specs say the bridge is a 6.9k Alnico 3, flat poles obviously.
