My pal had this just chilling in the corner behind a chair. Turns out it was his first guitar, circa 1969.

And ideas what we have here? Has the laminated Teisco style neck, but the only sticker is a Made in Japan... IMG_20181103_220033762.jpg IMG_20181103_220038161.jpg

Kawai bought Teisco in 1967, so that muddies the bloodline a bit, but the trussrod adjustment leans towards the Kawai DNA of their LEGO-like parts bin. Surf drowninginguitars.com to find the actual model.

I borrowed a Teisco and because I could read i got a job playing The Festival Centre" here in Adelaide. I p....d off my housemate who had a great real Fender Stratocsater but he couldn't reread music.
That was Weber/Rice Joseph and his Technicolor Coat then Jesus Christ Superstar. All because I could read the music straight off.
The old Japanese guitar sounded really good but bloody hard to play.
