    Hello all

Not sure if this is the right forum. Normally I am over at Tele Home Depot section...

I have this vintage 30+ year Acoustic 100W tube amp which yesterday gave some white smoke signals. The amp have never left my home and is technically in excellent condition, except that it has old an capacitors etc.

Before I attempt on repairing it, does anyone have the schematics for this, or do you know where I can get them?

Schematicheaven.net has several Acoustic schematics in the post 70's section

    Awesome, found it.

Are there any recommendations where one can get the set the usual spare parts? Once I open it up, I'd like to exchange all the parts that normally fail over the years. I guess the electrolyte caps... Anything else that is recommended after 30+ years?

    THANKS

Antique Electronic Supply has a good selection of parts.

Mouser electronics is cheaper but more difficult to find specific parts on, without an extensive understanding of component types. Their shipping can also be quite high on small orders. Their selection is unbeatable, but they don't carry tubes or other obsolete parts.

Be careful, tube amps have voltages high enough to kill you stored in them even when they're off.

yep. They have this massive Electro Voice EVM12L speaker in there. That helps, too.
