I live in the USA and they’re not exactly common. I tried to look it up and as far as I can tell there isn’t a Victory dealer within a 300 mile radius of my location. I have only seen one in person used at my local Sam Ash which was the RD1 Rob Chapman head but I never got to try it. I’ve heard good things about their amps and checked out some videos on YouTube. The RK50, Sheriff 22, and Duchess DP40(Danish Pete model) have all caught my interest but I have no way of trying them before purchasing. What do you guys think of them?

Thinking about ordering the VC35 Copper - if my funds allow for it...

I’ve spent a bit of time with the Sheriff 44, lovely lovely amp! If the build quality and sound of that is anything to go by, I don’t think you could go far wrong with any of their offerings.

They’re good value over here and have a good reputation.

So why would you consider one - honestly? There's plenty of other mainstream and boutique amps native to the US. Buy a Victory sight unseen you risk A) it being not what you think and B) an orphan you're stuck with.

It appears they're high quality but it's going to cost a premium

Here in the states they’re a bit cumbersome to acquire

Not that expensive really, for an amp made in the UK. The V40 head is $1200 and shipping is only $50 from Andertons. Show me a 40w head made in the US for $1200. A Friedman 20 watt, or Supro and MB 25 watt heads are $1250-1300, and shipping will be more.

If I were going to order one here in the US I’d get it from AMS. American Music Supply.

Great retailer, excellent return policy, free and fast shipping. And interest free payment plans if you’re so inclined.

I’ve been eyeing a couple, and if I ever go that way, I’ll be getting mine there. I’ve bought a bunch of stuff from them and never been disappointed.

Victory manufactures their products not too far from where I live in the Chicago area. They run an ad on the nationally syndicated radio show, "Blues Before Sunrise," with a voiceover by the late radio host, Dick Buckley.

They seem a little mysterious--one of the local music shops used to have a lot of their models on the showroom floor, but haven't seen their stuff in there lately.

Victory would be my choice here. Not sure what deals you could get your side of the pond.

I live in the suburbs of Chicago and there isn’t one Victory amps dealer which is kind of a shame. You would think with a great music scene in a city like Chicago they would’ve gotten a deal with at least one shop.

I live in around Chicago. Not one store in the city or suburbs carries Victory amps. I would think in a city with a great music scene they would’ve been in a couple of shops. Chicago Music Exchange would be a great place for their amps I think.

You're confusing Victory amps (British) with Victoria amps (which are indeed made in Illinois - but VERY different amps).

I thought they were British? I have to go look now...

Edit: @RomanS beat me to the punch.

Edit again: Yep. The entire line is built in Britain.

Hand built in England as they say but they have 3-4 US warehouses where you can order direct from them. I ordered the V40 Deluxe head, the Copper and the Jack V4 pedals and got them each in 2 days via FedEx to my house.

Additionally they have a very active FB Victory owners group with support folks from Victory included as members.

They're certainly better looking than Victory motorcycles.

I think if I used real amps and had the money to collect amps I'd start there, with victoria and order a Swart amp then a Carr.

I remember watching some youtube demos where someone has one or two on a shelf in the back and doesn't plug it in, which I wish they did.
