Verifying a CS Instrument

The first thing I would do is to call fender and ask them to verify a legitimate serial number which they can do over the phone. The second thing is to try and locate a Fender gold service center in your area and fender can let you know where that is. You can get from Fender an original list of items the guitar contains such as pick ups color of the pick guard color of the guitar type of neck, to nurse etc. if you buy the guitar and take it to the gold service center for a small fee they will call fender verify that the guitar is original and if it is original they will furnish you with new paperwork. I know this is correct invalid as I have had it done myself in San Diego at Top Gear!
