Give 'em the beans!
+1 Holeyboard.
I'm with you on this, but once I had the pedals where I wanted them, I got another pedal and decided to re-arrange...then re-arrange again...then another pedal...so basically I was running out of zip-ties. What I came up with was using a roll of velcro that has fuzz on one side and teeth on the other. I run out a foot or two, then cut into strips. Works about 75% as good as zip-ties- I just can't seem to get them tight enough because it grabs itself. My pedals wiggle, but they won't fall off.
I think that once I have my pedals in a spot/order for more than a year I will then graduate to zip-ties and make things wiggle-free.
I've used pipe cleaners for cable management and they work quite well. Easy to move and reuse, very cheap, and you could probably color-match or at least -complement with your pedals.

I like Holeyboards for exactly this reason. I was skeptical at first, but it's amazing how well zip-ties work.

I had a holeyboard for a while and thought it was great until I got some odd sized and shaped pedals, then wanted to move things around, then wanted to move a pedal or two again, wash, rinse repeat.

Went through lots of zip ties, and found that even though the holeyboard LOOKS flexible, you’re locked into where the holes say your pedals have to be. Not as big of a deal if you have all similar sized pedals probably.

I used a lot of Goo Gone yesterday, but years of glue on glue is hard to dissolve! Also I wanted to retain the label with the serial # which made it all even harder :(
Eww, yecch. Good reason for digital multi-effects units: no Velcro inside.

It's the same adhesive. If anything the Dual Lock adhesive tends to be more difficult to remove as the product is designed for a stronger hold in all senses.

If you can remove Dual Lock adhesive, you can remove any Velcro adhesive.
I don’t know if it’s the same adhesive, but I can take dual-lock off with no issues (and even re-use it on another pedal), but in order to get velcro off I have use needle-nose pliers and elbow grease (not to mention a little wd-40 to get the adhesive residue that always gets left behind).

Since I live in Texas I don’t think the edict applies. And I put the furry side on the board and the rough side on my pedals just to be difficult. And I use the 2” commercial grade! I’ve never had a pedal come loose.

This has no need for Velcro, being a bolt/rail system.

Now, where did I leave that smug emoji…

Oh yeah, here it is

As a machinist, this looks legit. I hope it is as good as it looks. It looks like a mill table with toe clamps.

I'm happy with my screws and tabs, and occasional plate+zip ties. Anything mechanical. I like my velcro coming out of the fuzz pedal, not stuck to it.

How are you guys getting your velcro to stick so well? even if I prep the area, velcro always seems to come off of the pedal. Sometimes I resort to a dab of superglue to keep it stuck.
