Valve Wiz 2nd Book - Power Supplies

Well worth the read, I proof read the chapter on voltage multipliers for him. A strong argument could be constructed that an amp is really a power supply modulator, and as such the PS deserves as much attention as the rest of the amp

Totally. And "deficiencies" in that power supply can color the resulting sound in ways we like.

For years I've been telling people "a great amp starts with a great power supply" to fall mostly on deaf ears. If it doesn't have something to do with the preamp you hear crickets chirping.

I will have to pick up a copy soon as it's sure to be a great read. Thank you for the announcement.
