    "Thanks"

I need another tremolo like I need another hole in my head (this brings the count up to 4) but I'm a sucker for a strong chop. "Plus it has OD" (as if anyone who posts on forums needs another OD)

Oh, your justification is way easier than mine, this pedal sounds legitimately different than a DR opto tremolo. I have at least one pedal I could probably get to sound 95% the same as this one. "But this one has an output level control" I tell myself. Sure, and my problem lately is being too loud not too quiet.

Honestly it was the 18v and how great all the Catalinbread stuff I've heard is that convinced me to pull the trigger. That and I needed a new strap, so this way I didn't have to pay shipping. (the stores closest to me didn't have any straps I liked)

See how easy self-justification can be with a little effort?

Why are US retailers so poor at shipping overseas?

Really not a problem anywhere else.

    Oh yeah: catalinbread are great.

So they send me a very used pedal. Velcro residue on back, plenty of wear on the switch button. It actually had a Catalinbread box, but nothing but the pedal in there.

I sent them a terse note, then put it on my board. The pre-amp is nice. However, I turn up the depth on the tremolo to the 10 o'clock setting and I get crackling. Not like a dirty pot crackle, it's "play a note" and get a crackle. I'm arranging a return tomorrow. What a disappointment!

Sold out. Have a Surfy Trem anyway. But I like Catalinbread pedals.
