Using a G&L Saddle Lock Bridge on a Fender Tele? Anyone done this?

    I am drawn to the G&L Saddle Lock bridge. I love the design of it.

    I'm wondering if this bridge is fairly easily adapted to use on a Fender Tele? Anyone?

    Seems like you need to do a route in the top of the body.

    Might be beyond the capabilities of many.

    Yup, one of its key features is a tenon under the bridge plate so it’s not just the screws holding the plate against the string pull, you transfer some of the load directly to the wood through this tenon and its mating slot in the wood. Supposed to help with sustain... or something...
