i bought a fret bender off an ebay seller that i guess is a machinist & is making them himself...
im finding that i still need to use my fret bending plyers to bend up the end of the fret rod to get it to feed correctly into the fret bender...is this normal?..
also, is it ok to over radius the frets cause no matter how much i try to adjust it it either does that or nothing it all...

Yes, the first and last part of the fretwire get wasted because of this. Using 2 ft of fret wire ( like stewmac sells) or longer would minimize the waste.

I generally over-radius a bit, to make sure the ends of the frets don't pop up.
