Upon the Rat the light is red,
    and I should get myself to bed;
    Stomping weary are our feet,
Still around the corner we may meet
A sudden Note or wondrous Tone
That none have heard but we alone.
Delay and Reverb, Flange and Phase,
Let them rage! Let them rage!
    Amp and Tele under sky,
Let them moan! Let them cry!

Home is behind, the stage ahead,
And there are many pedals to tread
Through Mellow to the edge of Bright,
Until the smiles are all alight.
Then stage behind and load ahead,
We'll wander back to home and bed.
Vibe and Ring Mod, Chorus and Trem,
Pack ‘em in! Pack ‘em in!
Tele and Cord, Cabinet and Head,
And to bed! And then to bed!

In loving tribute to J.R.R. Tolkien
    1892-1973

Sorry, mine's green. And I was OCD enough to tape off the off-center round hole down to the triangle it should be ... But don't let me stop you from waxing poetic about it all the same

Awesome! I would be honored indeed to be the Resident Rodent Poet of the TDPRI! Let me know once the vote is Ratified.

And as per your request telecat33511, the missing middle stanza.

Still on the forum there may wait
A clean boost or a noise gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may search Flea Bay
And take the credit cards once more,
And snag that pedal we adore.
    MXR, Boss and boutique too
Some for me and some for you.
What tones await none can tell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

BTW, a link to the real poem that inspired my tribute...

    Here's to RetroRod
    a really nice guy
wrote an ode to my favorite distortion
brought a tear to my eye

and a joyous noise to my ears
as I think of time gone by
and the fun throughout the years
until the day after I die

when My wife will put it up on EBay
and sell it for way less than I paid
I must tell you to use caution
and keep an eye out for the auction

    Here's to you Rod

( Not as good as Rods - but hopefully inspireing )

Amazing Rod. Truly. I love his work and I think he always wanted to inspire others with his verse.

    Oh, and Tolkein's good too.:p
