Seriously, looking at a set of these from my thinline Telecaster. I haven't heard anything new from folks on these in a while, which is giving be pause on getting a set.

Anyone still using these, I'm mostly interested in a full set.

Coincidentally I have also been considering a set for a Thinline, but as I've never had any before I can't give personal experience, but will say that one of Bill Frisell's solo shows I saw, the Tele he played looked like it had TV Jones Classics and it sounded amazing. Not exactly what you're asking I know!

I've been tempted by these a bit as well.

I had replaced a neck pickup in my thin line with a Starwood.

Orig pickup was a Texas special with the cover removed so it was nice and bright.

After adjusting and rehearsing with the Starwood, I wound up switching back... the Starwood was lacking some of the sparkle I was getting from the special.

Dang, Hmm guess I'm holding off for now or going with the Don Mare's. I kind of wanted something different and these seemed the ticket.

I have the bridge pickup in a tele. My neighbor who has a real 58 white guard and works on a lot of guitars installed it for me. He played mine and was impressed with tone and fullness for lack of a better word. To me its kind of like a humbucker in spectrum but with tele tone.I have 2 other teles, one with prure vintage 64's and 1 with a jerry donahue. Of the 3 the starwound is by far the loudest and fullest. But to me still sounds very tele.
I have no experience with the neck.
