My favorite local venue hosted a ccr/fogerty tribute show last Saturday, lots of bands doing 2 or 3 songs each.
The opening bands were from the 'school of rock' , 12-18 year old kids placed in bands together to learn the ins and outs of the business.
Wow! They rocked! It was great seeing the younger kids banging out some classic creedence! Theres a lot of talented kids out there that really enjoy playing & performing.
I'll definitely keep seeing their performances and seeing them grow. I wish there would have been something like that back when I was starting out.

I know, huh?
And I would have given my left nostril for one of these modern skateboard parks!
There is something in the creative spirit that can thrive with youthful energy and a bit of gear.

It’s nice to hear stories like this.
Whether or not the kids continue on and try to make a living playing music or just enjoy it as a hobby their lives, in my opinion, will be better for being involved.
