Are there any albums you like with really long titles? ...You know, the kind where the text barely fits on the spine of a CD case? Here are a few from my collection:

Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like a Peasant - Belle & Sebastian

I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass - Yo La Tengo

This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About - Modest Mouse

Fiona Apple's The Idler Wheel Is Wiser than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More than Ropes Will Ever Do is a very good album.

Amazing album. Saw them on the tour too.

On topic: New Times longest album names ever list:

(link removed)

I had no idea about most of these.

Yep, there are some comically long titles out there. And a thread about finding the longest one would be fun, but as you pointed out, the answers are only a quick search away. That's why I'm more interested in albums people have in their collections, or at least ones they like a lot.

"We were dead before the ship even sank" -- Modest Mouse again
"Mellon collie and the infinite sadness" -- Smashing Pumpkins (not as long as I was thinking)
And didn't Alanis Morrisettes "Jagged Little Pill" actually have a ridiculously long actual title?

Edit: shouldn't it be assumed that the answers weren't found on a web search? Where's the fun in that?

This one by Fiona Apple was the first one that came to mind & it's easy to see why. Since the title's so damn long, it's often just labeled as "When The Pawn..." on it's side.

The full title actually is...

"When the Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks like a King What He Knows Throws the Blows When He Goes to the Fight and He'll Win the Whole Thing 'fore He Enters the Ring There's No Body to Batter When Your Mind Is Your Might so When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand and Remember That Depth Is the Greatest of Heights and If You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where to Land and If You Fall It Won't Matter, Cuz You'll Know That You're Right."

Quite "inspiring", huh...lol?

I've just been checking my CD shelf, and Steve Earle seems to have the longest title in terms of width consumed. Edge to edge!

I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive - Steve Earle

Him and Frank have nothing on the Fiona Apple title though.
