Over the past few months, Truefire has been holding these monthly giveaway for various guitars and such.

Last month, they had four D'Angelico guitars in the giveaway, and I was lucky enough to win the Premier SS they had in the prize pool:

It's actually a pretty decent guitar, and certainly looks like nothing else that I have.

It is setup well, has no glaring fit or finish issues, and sound pretty good. No clue as to the quality of the hardware and electronics. Time will tell I guess.

I think I'm going to have some fun getting to know this guitar.

    Nice score!

Depending on the date it may be the later version with Duncan pickups.
They all have maple necks that are stiffer than the Epi competition, and better fretwork too.

Wow, congrats. That is some prize.

I recently bought a Deluxe Ludlow at a huge clearance discount. Couldn't believe my luck. It has Duncan DA59s that sound amazing.

I have a few minor quibbles with the finish (mainly that the strap pins basically fell out in the first few weeks), but the sound, the neck, and the frets are out of this world.

That looks like a keeper. Mine certainly is.

Very cool--a lot of stylistic touches...I guess I know why I haven't heard from Premier .

Beautiful guitar! I have one of the Premier double cuts (335 type). I like it a lot, and it gets quite a bit of play. Congratulations!

Nice looking guitar - congrats! That's the type of colour I really like in a guitar.
