I like many of them, but one of my favorites is John Gorka.
Post your singer-songwriters that seem to have fallen under the radar.

Willie Porter. Monster player in a live situation, and a wonderful songwriter.

Here's another: Scott Biram. He covers everything from trad Muddy Waters to original stuff to hard-core metal and everything in between.

Eric Brace and Peter Cooper. They’re both solid on their own. Put em together and they’re a force.

Here’s one of Peter’s by himself. Great tune. I’ve covered it many times.

Criminally underrated. Very nice dude, too. Always enjoyed sharing a bill with him.

I never thought Eric got near the credit he deserved.

I saw him open for Jethro Tull around 20 years ago. He had a great voice and cool rhythmic and percussive playing style. First time I think I'd ever seen someone use two capos at once. I got his CD and then pretty much forget about him.

I always liked Tish Hinojosa's music a lot. I saw her live a couple times and she had a serious band with her. At 12 or 13, I was blown away.
None of my friends around here had ever heard of her. That made me sad.

I always thought this song's music fit well the imagery of the lyrics. Tish's voice is great, the musicianship is top notch... I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger hit

James McMurtry. Song after song. (Maybe not underrated, but not enough know him):
