UK / EU partscaster builders - looking for a fiesta red nitro body for a build project but I don't have the premises for spraying. Looking to reproduce this from new and used parts as a light relic Summer project.

Any recommendations as to who does them Seems to be a rare colour?

if I was in the states I'd go to MJT... but

well, guitarbuild.co.uk are reasonable, plus they do custom orders. Only problem is they don't spray.

That's all I got for now. sorry.

    Hi.

I've found a Spanish company Bravacasters, here, that will spray any colour to order. Seem pretty reasonable.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222137458165?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

    The Dutch team is http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Custom-Wor...03375016&_sid=711305886&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

I've heard they can get spray to order but it doesn't say so on their site so I've emailed them. I'll follow this up....

Thanks. Yes I've just heard back from them about spraying to order:

"We don't finish the bodies but Paul does finishes, you can contact him retro169@hotmail.co.uk"

    Thank you

    Guitarbuild support"

So I've dropped him an email..

The world's best finisher for aged (he doesn't use the word relic) is Clive Brown based in Ripon is North Yorkshire, but his waiting time is typically 18-months.

His #1 status is my opinion but others may rate him as low as #2 or #3, he's that good.

I've got a couple of PDFs about him so drop me a PM with your email address and sent you the articles.

    :) Peter

They responded but they only make bodies in bulk and use poly, so can't do on-offs.

Outstanding work netgear. Dig that brazilian board where on earth did you pick that up? I'm really fussy about rosewood.

Did you use an undercoat in which case which one?

Did you just go straight onto an alder body or use any prep techniques?

I got a couple of boards from a luthier in a part ex that one there was still attached to the neck minus its headstock from the 3rd tuner
the frets needed pulling they were very low and a fair amount of chip out from pulling them which needed filling
The other one is pitted badly i was going to level it out but thought sod it i just aged up the neck blank

If you plan on spraying a body yourself use either white or grey primer i think the grey shows the fiesta better with the white primer
from certain angles it looks almost orangeor pink

Get a Alder body from guitarbuilduk they are ready to go no need for prep work avoid ash its too much hassle grain filling etc
