Enough AMC trashing, from France.
Behold....the Citroën Ami 6...

This is almost becoming a Rorschach test with the front ends of some of the cars in this thread. I see an angry child wearing a retainer....

I do appreciate the, you only have a 50/50 shot of being impaled on the steering wheel compared to most car from that era.

I've long held the opinion that Citroëns in general were the ugliest cars on the planet. Heck, even their concept cars are hard to look at. Witness the Citroën Karin:

Even uglier up close.

Two-Tone-Turdtastic.

If ever a car had an expression conveying internal self-loathing, the final iteration of the 'swing and miss' Princess wears it.
It's a sad looking car in many ways. Fractally sad.

Whilst visually unpleasant in the {facelifted|faceplanted} variant, they were really nice to drive.
You just had to look at them as you approached them.

Yebbut BL's designers/stylists were 'special'.

Those late 70s paint jobs - Curry Brown, Camo Green, Mustard, didn't do them any favours either.

CITROËN!
I lived in the Dominican Republic ( govt. brat) from '68-'70. And there were two of these in Santo Domingo.
I got to ride in one of them!

( my grade school buddies and I were super keen on checking out all the cars in the city- all the international models- it was fantastic!)

Also one of the top three BEST looking cars ever!
Came within a pen stoke of having one as a family car in the 70s. Instead, hair raising Mini Cooper S showed up in the driveway. Great fun ice racing it in the winter with studded tires though. DS test drive memory still holds a warm spot in my heart though.
