I agree. When I was a kid, I thought most teles just came with humbuckers in the neck, like Keef's and Andy Summers's.

To this day, I feel like teles look more natural with a neck bucker than the usual neck pup.

    I don't like Strats.

I don't like shredder guitars, even though I play a lot of shred based music.

    I don't like tremolos.

I don't like super short scale guitars.

    I don't like glossy finishes.

    I don't like tiny frets.

    I don't like thin necks.

    I don't like cargo shorts.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of guitar do you use for shred music?

I love them, it's fun to vent. You don't have to read the threads that don't interest you.

Paul Reed Smith’s. Not sure why. Probably because Nickelback and ever ever terrible band ever has played them. I’m sure they are great guitars but just the thought of them make me sick.

I'm the exact opposite of you guys - I don't mind buckers in a strat, but a Tele needs to be single coils.

I use a Les Paul CM (basically a Jr. with a humbucker in the bridge).

It's not the typical choice and the limited fret access on the lower strings higher up the neck is annoying, but it sounds great and gets the job done.

It's also important to note that I've got big hands and like high action and thick strings, not for the tone, for the feel.

    It works for me.

The great big f-holed guitars they used for jazz for years. Then the big semi hollow electrics like Gretsches and such.

For me, almost all BC Rich's. There is ONE BC Rich that I kinda like, but I don't know the name of it.

Other than the Strat, Tele, Jaguar and Jazzmaster, almost every other Fender. Especially during the CBS era.

    Gibson: Flying V.
For years and years, I wanted an Explorer. Always loved the shape. Then, I slung one around my neck and hated it. It plays awkward.
That one everyone calls the can opener (or something like that).
    The Firebird.
    The SG.
    Single cutaway LP Junior.
A few others that I don't know the names of.

    Most Rickenbackers.

    Double cutaway Gretsch's.

Almost all Ibanez's. I do kinda like the Iceman, though. Don't know why...

    Most Jackson's.
In fact, I've never met a Floyd Rose equipped guitar that I really liked.

    Almost every Burns ever created.

    Mosrites. Hands down ugly.

    Tiesco.

Plus a host of others. In fact the list of guitars that I DO like is a MUCH shorter list!
