Kings X live on the Dennis Miller Show in 1992:
GGTN was over 30 yrs ago. Damn, i feel old...
Man, it still sounds fresh. At one point in my life these guys were my #1, absolutely loved them.
Saw them live in a club in the early 90’s.
They were amazing.
A great band.
Oh boy, a Kings X thread. The video in the OP was on MTV when I was in college, and I loved the song and immediately went down the Kings X rabbit hole, 1990-style...by buying cassettes.
I saw them on their ‘92 and ‘94 tours and loved both shows. Ty and Doug’s “plug everything into everything until you find a cool gear combination” approach to rig-building influenced me a great deal, as can be seen in the photo I posted over in the “Show your rig” thread.
I lost track of what Kings X did after “Ear Candy,” which I didn’t like much apart from the groove in “The Train.” I should do a latter-days rabbit hole dive and check out their newer stuff. Cool bunch of guys.
