Two calendar years, no new guitars. It hasn't been easy, but the GAS is under control.

I'm one year clean for amps, too. But that could change if I ever get sight of a ZT lunchbox reverb.

Play that ZT Lunchbox before you buy it.
    I was unimpressed.

I had a rough summer......, Waddy Wachtel LP followed me home, then I sold two amps to get one.......then there was this Danocaster I had to have.....

But I got it under control now. o_O

Spread the word. Many others are still suffering. But perhaps maybe a reward?

I hate to break it to you - but this is the very opposite of a support group for your endeavour

Yeeeaaaahhhh, I thought I was clean too, but that's when it sneaks up on you. Stay vigilant. Stay strong. :)

DV mark Little jazz might be better than a lunch box .light and very toneful .I stick a Joyo American sound in front for overdrive bliss.

Yeah, coming here is like if you’re a recovering addict and a shooting gallery moved in next-door to you with free packaged needles, soft, clean comfy couches, and pharmaceutical H...

Uh.....are you sure? The summer wasn't THAT long ago. A few "dry" months ain't the same as a catastrophic "drought". I do wish you luck, though. ;)

So far I haven't bought anything next year.
That's about the best I can do for the moment.

All the gear I bought this year was actually gifts from my wife and her parents.

    So I'm still clean, right?

I had my best year ever with four new guitars, a bass, a Pro Junior IV, and six pedals.

You could say I cleaned up this year. :)

However, I have not purchased new golf clubs since 2005.

    No comment . . .

    Actually, I will comment.

About 6 months ago, after 35 years of moderately heavy drinking (if that's a thing) I cut my alcohol intake by about two thirds.

I typed out a long post about how and why I did it, and how I feel about it.

    Then I deleted it.

Not because I didn't want to talk about it. Just because I've noticed that people on here (probably including me sometimes) like to chime in with advice, judgements, mantras, dogmas, encouragements, and whatever else, in subjects like this.

That's necessarily a bad thing. But I don't want any of that.

So please feel free to NOT reply to this post. I have struggled with alcohol for decades and I'm finally as okay with it as I'm ever going to be. And it's cool.

And this is turning into the long post I didn't want to write. So that's enough.

I gave away 3 guitars this year, 2 new builds and a donated guitar... and sold an 83 tele...

a better feeling than getting a new guitar...;)
