Gorgeous. I lean towards the traditional one, but either is to die for.
The one on the right, or bottom! What’s the occasion?
I wasnt really sold at this color at first, but the more I see mine and other Daphne Blue tele's and strats, the more I love it!
Though I'm a rosewood lover, and prefer rosewood board on custom car colors!
2018 CME Exclusive American Special in Daphne Blue.
I added Glendale Brass Compensated Saddles and all short-post locking tuners.
What neck is on the top one?
Way cool 2.
I like the 50s one on the bottom best. Do I recall right that it’s a refinished AV 52? Beautiful, both of them!
Thanks and Yes you are right. All stock 52 reissue except the refin and my white guard.
The prior owner was gigging with this. He didn’t like relic or wear looks. He did the refin himself because the original finish started to chip and wear but then the refin wore faster than he wanted so he sold it. That’s what he told me anyway. I picked it up for £600
All I did was put a 50s white guard on it and bend the saddles into a compensation position. It’s a great Tele. Light and well balanced plays great. Nice neck not too fat or thin. Rolled edges. He had a great fret dress done and a top set up. Super easy to play. the original vintage pickups on that are excellent. Great all rounder. I’d use them again.
OV pickups are one of my top 2 tele pickups. They just exude that great “blackguard”, fat tele sound I love in 50s teles.
