Looks really cool
but I suspect I'd rub my forearm raw by the end of the night
No way man , lacquered and it conforms to the top , nahhhhh . I like my stuff gigged and that wouldn’t work for me .
I LOVE that.
Update #2 or so ....we uncovered the next custodial Parent of Leo’ Wayward child !!!
How tight does the tweed need to be stretched onto the top?
doyou start with a large piece, glue it down, and then use a router around the perimeter?
I use one of my body templates . Cut slight larger . I won’t give my edge secret away . Stay on there , no rough edge at all . Well , standard 50 Tele round over , some can’t deal with it .
That makes sense.
I was overthinking it as usual.
I was thinking stretched on a frame
Layer on the glued body
is that a different decal too?
On the Roasted bodies and necks I’ve been using a branding iron . Burn a Bolt on there . Thank you .
What finish is the back and sides?
Reclaimed pine , no Tweed .
Love your work.
Niiiice. I assume you've got a tweed amp and a tweed case for it?
Also: what are the "ring" marks on the upper bout about?
I’ll do final setup Later today , it’s in the Studio with Buzzzard this weekend .
Looks mighty fine. Perfectamundo!
I like the look a lot. However, I wouldn't want the texture. If it were a carbon-fiber wrap so it was thin and smooth, maybe.
No texture dude ..... it’s lacquer over and I would build a guitar that would jive for gigging . Carbon fiber is what the crazy from LA are into .......
Crazy? Maybe. However, I can clearly see "texture" or rough surface in the photo here.
Nahhhhh ...... not . Just saying . Your wrong man . It’s ok . Not for you ......totally get it .
